Join us for our August Sunday Rally!

 

The VEC Riding Club is excited to invite you to participate in our August Sunday Rally, on Sunday 11 August at Victorian Equestrian Centre.

Please note: This rally is being held as a once-off Sunday event (as opposed to the second Saturday of the month) due to a conflict of events at VEC.

 

This month our focus is "BUILDING YOUR RELATIONSHIP".

VEC Riding Club is delighted to invite members to join us for THREE insightful sessions focussing on practical tools to build your relationship with your horse, in and out of the saddle - including one no-horse session.

 

SESSION 1: Horsemanship & Obstacles with Donna Sadler

Join Western and English coach and competitor, Donna Sadler, as she guides you in an exciting obstacle-based horsemanship session. Donna specialises in opening the door between horse and rider to develop understanding and trust, from ground to saddle, to the dressage arena and beyond.

*This session will be held both on the ground and under saddle. Please come prepared to ride!

SESSION 2: Flatwork Focus with Samantha Bray

Dressage coach, Samantha Bray, puts our focus on flatwork in this engaging session. Create confidence and focus on bringing together your relationship with your horse in the arena, whether you are working towards building your foundations or polishing your test movements.

SESSION 3: Mind & Body with Katherine Stewart of EquiLivin

Katherine Stewart of EquiLivin guides us through a no-horse mind and body session held over one hour in our heated dining room. Gain practical skills to transfer to the saddle to improve your confidence, fitness, mindset and your relationship with your horse. $15 per participant.

 

All sessions are group sessions held in small groups of five riders or less (aside from Session 3). We ask that you select your group according to the level you would like to be coached at for your Flatwork lesson (this does not have to be the level you are assessed at, you can ride above or below your assessed level), to ensure all riders get the most out of their lesson.

This rally is not presently open to non-members. If you are a non-member interested in riding at this rally, we encourage you to email vecridingclub@gmail.com to express your interest. You will be contacted on a first-in-best-dressed basis if spaces become available.

 

Rally Fees are payable to VEC Riding club by direct deposit or cash. Your rally fee is payable on booking and must be paid in advance of the rally date.

We will be serving lunch from 12pm - 1pm in the dining room. Please indicate if how many lunches you require by booking below (family, friends and helpers welcome). Lunch is $5pp, payable on the day.

We encourage all our members to stay for the day and watch your fellow members ride.
